The first M6 was produced in 1983 and was based off of the E24 6-Series platform. The car was known as the M635CSi in European markets. The M6’s first run ended in 1989 and was brought back in 2005 on the E63 platform, just after the 2003 return of the 6-Series. The E63 is the currently produced M6 model.
